I remember my parents doing track workouts and running races. How could I forget, my sister and I had a complete blast playing in the fields surrounding the track and loved exploring the race scene. I also ran with my mom starting when I was 9 and still do to this day.
Now with children of our own it’s our turn. We get to teach them all about running, the importance of a healthy lifestyle and make new memories. The picture above was taken at a local 4 mile race. My husband ran with our 9 year old and I with our 8 year old. It just doesn’t get any better than running hand in hand for 4 miles with your daughter. Her sweet little fingers never let go of my hand. I’m so thankful this moment was captured. We even made the local paper!

I occasionally change my workout plan to include running with one of my daughters. These are the moments I never want to end. Sure we run slower than my planned run, but it is so worth it!
